St. Thomas Beach List: 

Sailing – Remember, this is the sailing capital of the world!  Rent a boat, yacht, or sign up for sailing lessons.  Your destinations are endless. 

Diving –Diving in St. Thomas is some of the best in the world!  Visibility is excellent and water temps are perfect all year.  Not only does St. Thomas offer many reef, shipwreck and night dives, there are virtually unlimited diving locations with surrounding islands, just a boat ride away.  You can even get PADI Certified while here on vacation. 

Snorkeling – There are numerous famous snorkeling sites around St. Thomas such as Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach and many spots on St. John.  Enjoy corals and a wonderful mix of fish and other aquatic sea life.

Dining – There are many 5 star high class restaurants on St. Thomas equipped with some of the best chefs in the world.  They create many mouth-watering entrees ranging from tender steak to freshly caught lobster, tuna or other seafood.  The selection they offer varies from continental cuisine to French, Chinese, Japanese, Caribbean, Italian and Mexican foods just to name a few.  With so many restaurants you can definitely dine at a different restaurant every day of your vacation!

Golf – For golfers, the thrill of a lifetime awaits at Mahogany Run Golf Course on the island of St. Thomas.  This 6,022-yard, par 70 course, designed by George and Tom Fazio, offers 18 of the most beautiful holes in the Caribbean.  Watch out for the “Devil’s Triangle,” the world renowned Signature Trio of the 13th, 14th and 15th holes on the Atlantic Ocean. 

Ecology-Tours – The Virgin Island’s beaches, coral reefs, historic ruins and forests provide endless hours of exploration.  Explore on your own, or join a guided tour that describes the history and ecology of the area.  View defense structures like a fort, canons and watch towers or learn about local history at museums. 

Spa & Relaxation – Spas are plentiful on St. Thomas and offer body wraps, facials, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and more.  However, relaxing should never be a problem on St. Thomas with sun, water, sand and a cold beverage in hand.

Drake’s Seat – This famous lookout point was once used by Sir Francis Drake to watch for incoming ships.  Come and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of Magen’s Bay.  This is a MUST SEE!  Bring your camera. 

Coral World Ocean Park – This famous water park was voted Best Tourist Attraction four years in a row by readers of the V.I. Daily News.  You will find five acres with exotic aquariums, outdoor pools (sea turtles, sharks, and rays), unique nature trails and an Undersea Observatory.  Find the largest Caribbean aquarium in the world!  Stop to feed a stingray, pet a shark, and encounter turtles, wild iguanas or feed a tropical bird right from your hand!  Additional activities include the Sea Trek Helmet Dive, the Shark Encounter program, Snuba, and a ride on a Semi Submarine.  You won’t be disappointed here. 

Kayak and Snorkel Adventure of Mangrove Preserve – Explore the Mangroves on two person kayaks.  Explore crystal clear lagoons and a deserted tropical island with hermit crabs and the famous Red Point Blow hole.  Snorkel in an underwater paradise.  It’s fun, it’s beautiful and no experience is required!

Sky Ride to Paradise Point – This modern aerial cable car will take you 700 feet above sea level for fabulous panoramic views of cruise ships, Charlotte Amalie harbor and neighboring islands.  Stop at the top and enjoy unique shops, a cool Bird Show, and a fun bar featuring the famous Bushwacker. 

Mountain Top – The tallest point on St. Thomas sits 1,542 feet above sea level and is know as Signal Hill.  It was used in the 1940’s by the U.S. government as a strategic communications location.  Find breathtaking views of Drake’s passage, the British Virgin Islands, and beautiful Magen’s Bay.  Mountain Top is known to have the best banana daiquiris on the island. 

Frenchtown – Frenchtown is located about a half-mile southwest of Charlotte Amalie and is known for its restaurants and bars.  Frenchtown was settled by immigrants from the French Caribbean island of St. Barthelemy in the late 1800’s through mid 1900’s.  It was a fishing village then and still is today.

Red Hook – Originally the Red Hook was a little town connected to the rest of St. Thomas by dirt roads.  Today it has become a busy village housing numerous stores and shops, which cater to the boating community.  Here you will find Ferris to St. John and the British Virgin Islands as well as charter boating companies. 

Night Life – St. Thomas has the liveliest night life in the Virgin Islands.  Find dancing, bar hopping or karaoke.  Many bars offer live music while others offer dance club music attracting many young locals as well as tourists.  Find pool, darts, food, and seaside fun.  There are so many bars on St. Thomas there is sure to be several that fit your definition of fun.  Take a late night fairy to St. John.
